OUR STORY
Captain Andrew Allman, proudly served with the United States Army from 2007 until 2013. The majority of that time was spent with the 1st Infantry Division out of Ft. Riley, Kansas, where he deployed as a Lieutenant to Baghdad, Iraq in October of 2008. During this year-long deployment, he earned the respect and trust of his soldiers throughout their numerous missions together. He was loyal to his soldiers and his country, proven by the Bronze Star he earned for his exceptionally meritorious service while assigned as a platoon leader during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After Andrew’s return stateside, he served several more years before shifting to civilian work.
In December of 2021, Andrew was suddenly and abruptly diagnosed with stage four gastric adenocarcinoma, a cancer attributed to his exposure to burn pits from his deployment. With his faith in God as his anchor and his family by his side, Andrew valiantly fought this aggressive cancer for seven months. Unfortunately, on Father’s Day, June 19 of 2022, he passed away, leaving behind his wife of almost fourteen years, Sarah, and their three school-aged children.
Andrew was a strong man of faith, a devoted husband, and a loving father to his children. He had a truly one-of-a-kind personality with many interesting hobbies and talents. He had the ability to connect people through these attributes and enjoyed doing so.
OUR VISION
Legacy of Patriots (formerly known as Gold Star Legacy) was created as a means in which to honor Captain Andrew Allman's sacrifice to his country, and as a way to preserve the legacy of his life. Ultimately, our heart is to connect families with one another in an effort to preserve the legacy of their loved ones, as well as to help grieving spouses and their children support one another through their shared experience of loss due to military service.
All proceeds benefit our military service-members and veterans as well as their families. In addition, Legacy of Patriots is committed to supporting this mission through the support of other established military organizations, foundations, and non-profit groups with a shared mission.
